Wimbledon, England - Yulia Putintseva has pulled off a stunning upset to beat world No. 1 Iga Swiatek 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 and book her place in the fourth round at Wimbledon.
Putintseva, ranked 46th in the world, played aggressively throughout the match, hitting 90% of her forehands above her tournament average and dominating with her groundstrokes. She broke Swiatek's serve six times and won 71% of her first serve points.
"I was just focused on playing fast and not giving her any time," Putintseva said after the match. "That worked and that's pretty much it."
