Sri Lanka will be led by Dasun Shanaka in the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, starting on January 3. This will be the first time that Shanaka will lead Sri Lanka in a T20I series, having taken over the captaincy from Kusal Perera in October 2021.

- January 3: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
- January 5: Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot
- January 7: ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam
